Synopsis:

Book one in the CARELESS WHISPERS series. This is a standalone spin-off of the INSIDE OUT series (soon to be a TV show) that follows Ella Ferguson, Sara McMillan’s best friend.

Ella Ferguson awakes alone in Italy, unsure of who she is, and a gorgeous man has claimed her as his own. He’s tall, dark, and sexy, with money and power, the kind of man who makes a girl want to be possessed. And he does possess her, whispering wicked wonderful promises to her, stealing her trust and her heart. Soon though, the past finds her, yanking her from a cocoon of passion and safety. Everything is not how it seems. The truth will shatter her world, but it can set her free, if it doesn’t destroy her first.

REVIEW

I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with a copy for review.

Denial was so much better than I could have ever imagined. I love a great suspenseful-mystery that I am itching to solve but then you add in amazing chemistry and I was hooked. Lisa gives you a couple that pulls on your emotions because they both have issues, and don’t know how to trust. You aren’t sure who is responsible for all the bad things going on and that just makes you on the edge of your seat dying to find out!

Ella wakes up in the hospital not knowing who she is, where she is, and how she got there. She doesn’t even know her name. As soon as she wakes up she is comforted by a man who she doesn’t know but oddly seems familiar.

Kayden is the man who found Ella and brought her to the hospital. He is determined to stay by her side and make sure that she gets the help she needs and that no one else harms her. Kayden tells her that he needs her to work on trying to get her memory back for both of their sakes.

Ella was being chased by some very dangerous men, and by Kayden helping her he is now putting himself at risk too. Ella is scared since she doesn’t remember, she doesn’t know who to trust and who she might be putting herself in danger with. The detective Gallo warns Ella not to trust Kayden, that whatever he does for her will only serve himself no one else.

Kayden tells Ella that he will protect her and that she is not in danger with him. To trust her instincts. Ella just wants to remember but something bad happened and is keeping her from tapping into those memories.

I just wish I had those memories to hold onto.”

“Memories are the enemies that never die.

Ella starts to remember bits and pieces of the last man she was with, the man she is running from. She can’t remember his face but she is scared and knows he did horrible things to her. She fears it is Kayden but her instincts tell her it isn’t.

I’m not going to claim to own you the way he did. I’m just going to make you wish I did.

Will Ella get her memories back before she puts herself in the wrong peoples hands? Can Ella overcome all that she uncovers and still be strong? Will Kayden be exactly what Ella needs or is he keeping his own secrets? You have to read this amazing book to find out!

Denial was one bumpy, winding road that I wanted to stay on and hold on tight because I only hoped that the ride would accelerate. This coaster is only beginning and I want the next loops and spirals in the trip, please!!! I need book 2, Demand so bad! I am giving this book 5 out of 5 Stars.
