Release Date: May 17th 2016

Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Mythology

Rate: 4 Stars

Being Jinn is Azra’s new reality. As she grants wishes under the watchful eye of the Afrit council, she remains torn between her two worlds—human and Jinn. Soon, secrets spill. Zars are broken. Humans become pawns. And rumors of an uprising become real as the Afrit’s reach extends beyond the underground world of Janna.

Straddling the line becomes impossible. Aware of her unique abilities, Azra must not just face but embrace her destiny. But when the role she must play and those she must protect expand to include a circle of Jinn greater than her own, Azra will be forced to risk everything. A risk that means there’s everything to lose, and at the same time, everything to gain—for herself and her entire Jinn race.

In this dramatic sequel to Becoming Jinn, Azra’s story comes to a heartfelt and thrilling conclusion.

I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with a copy of Circle of Jinn in advance for an honest review.

In Circle of Jinn Lori ups the anti with even more magic and more surprises! I enjoyed the first book but I really liked this one. I feel that the character development is there and the writing growth is shown in this second novel. The pacing is really great, as well as a satisfying wrap-up to this series.

Azra has been trying to decide what she wants and who she is. She is torn between accepting her Jinn heritage and powers. She had a human best-friend and has never fully let go of that loss. Her Jinn sisters are supposed to be there for her but she has never been that close to them.

As Azra starts granting wishes and she can no longer deny her power. We get a new addition, in this book, Zak and he adds so much to the story! Soon with a new threat brewing Azra has to decide what side she will fight for. She has been apart from her Jinn sisters, as time goes on she realizes how important their relationship is, and reconnects.

What tole will all of the power have on Azra? Will Azra have all her questions answered by the Jinn? Which world will Azra choose? Will Azra finally meet her father? You have to read this amazing conclusion to find out!

This was a fantastic ending to the series! It was full of swoon, adventure, and magic. I loved that Lori gave me even more in this second book, it was like a slow build in book 1 and then BAM in book 2. This is a great duology that I definitely recommend, and I am giving Circle of Jinn 4 out of 5 stars.
