I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of Looking Inside for an honest review.
Looking Inside is my favorite Beth Kery book I have read so far and I love her books! Eleanor and Trey are an emotionally vulnerable couple, both just looking for something casual and their chemistry and dynamics were explosive.
Eleanor tapping into a side of herself she never knew existed and others making her question if it is because of who she is or something darker. She is a historical librarian, and loves what she does but sometimes wonders if it is exciting enough in comparison to others professions. She has longed for a man she saw through her apartment window. She spends a year fantasizing about what it would be like to be with him. One day she got the nerve up to go to a public place and dress sexy and get his attention.
Trey has had some hard losses recently. He is a very wealthy, successful business man. When he meets Eleanor he knows he really likes her but isn’t looking for anything serious. They both agree to start a relationship that will be mutually beneficial with no strings attached.
Eleanor’s sister just died and she was a free spirit, and confident. Her friends and mom worry that she might be trying to live in her shadow, instead of being who she truly is. She starts to worry they may be right and worries that is the only reason Trey likes her.
Can both Eleanor and Trey keep there relationship unemotional? Will secrets from their past threaten to break what they have?
I love, love a Beth Kery book, she is by far one of my favorite romance writers and this book is my favorite that I have read to-date. I love the twists and the character development throughout the story. I really enjoy the fact that this is a standalone as well. I would definitely recommend this book and am giving it 5 out of 5 stars.
