I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with an early copy of Make Me for an honest review.
Make Me is suspenseful, erotic, and gripping! This is my favorite Beth Kery book to date, it has everything you look for in her books. I loved that it went back and forth between present day and the past, 20 years prior, when Jacob was a kid. This story has such an emotional component, one of child, sexual, alcohol and drug abuse and how those things can make one feel that they are responsible for things they may not be solely responsible for. The guilt and actions someones takes dus to the past. This book made me so fall in love with the journey and struggles with every step taken.
Harper is walking along the shore in her new hometown of Lake Tahoe when she meets a handsome man. She has moved for a new job and a change of pace.
Jacob is sweet, strong, successful and guarded. At times he can almost seem like two different people. Harper is confused and never knows what to expect from him. She likes him but also is scared sometimes by how she feels when she is with him and some of the nightmares she is having.
Will Harper remember her past? Can Jacob keep his past a secret? Were some lives never meant to come together? You have to read this incredible book to find out!
Make Me is an emotional, heartwarming romance that will stay with you long after you have finished the last page. I loved the complexity of the characters and all the dynamics of this beautiful story. The setting was perfect, and I can’t wait for more from Beth Kery. I would definitely recommend and I am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars.
