Princess Sepora of Serubel and King Tarik of Theoria have formed an uneasy truce between their kingdoms since the deadly plague began to rip through Theoria. Since their feelings for each other are entangled in politics and power, they must use their own trusted resources to find common ground.

But when traitors with powerful allies arise from unexpected places, Tarik and Sepora face challenges that will change both of their kingdoms forever. Will they learn whom to trust—including each other—in time to save their kingdoms, their relationship and even their lives?

Morgan’s Review

I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of Ally for an honest review.

Ally is everything I could possibly want in a final book! It has action, magic, snark, and romance. I love all the characters and especially Sethos (can’t wait to get more from him). This book is mostly told from a rotating POV. This is a must read that is such a cool, unique, fun, fantasy book.

I will be honest when I read Nemesis it was one of my favorite books but I could not see how Anna would be able to wrap everything up in one book without it being one huge novel. Then I got Ally in the mail and I worried even more, what I thought would have to be a 5oo+ page book to satisfy everything was only around 300 pages. Let me tell you what an amazing writer Anna is, I have seen other writers take double the page count she had and leave me so unsatisfied but this book is everything I wanted! It has great world building and the pacing is spot on. I never felt it was hurried or that sections were being cut out. This is one of my favorite series and this book gave me the ending I wanted!

Princess Sepora has always been used for ability. Her power has the ability to save kingdoms and could be a great asset. Her father was unkind to her and now she has a hard time trusting and wondering if anyone really wants her or her ability. Her mother has always been someone she can lean on and helped her escape from her father.

Tarik and Sepora both really care for each other but with betrayals in the past and loyalties to their own kingdoms they are unsure if it is enough. Sethos tries to be a support for Sepora while she stays in Theoria.

“Saints of Serubel. Now he’s as serpentine as Sethos can be. “My servant? Well then, Tarik My Servant, go throw yourself from the Half Bridge.” – page 37

Will Sepora learn to trust and will it be the right people? Can Tarik learn to forgive Sepora for her past mistakes? You have to read this amazing book!

Ally is full of so many twists and turns, and betrayals. I could not put this Egyptian inspired fantasy down and it is a must have! I love that Anna seems to put some of her humor in her books, and that there is always that swoony, snarky romance. I am definitely recommending this and giving it 5 out of 5 stars.

The princess didn’t expect to fall in love–with her nemesis.

Princess Sepora of Serubel is the last Forger in all the five kingdoms. The spectorium she creates provides energy for all, but now her father has found a way to weaponize it, and his intentions to incite war force her to flee from his grasp. She escapes across enemy lines into the kingdom of Theoria, but her plans to hide are thwarted when she is captured and placed in the young king’s servitude.

Tarik has just taken over rulership of Theoria, and must now face a new plague sweeping through his kingdom and killing his citizens. The last thing he needs is a troublesome servant vying for his attention. But mistress Sepora will not be ignored. When the two finally meet face-to-face, they form an unlikely bond that complicates life in ways neither of them could have imagined.

Sepora’s gift could save Tarik’s kingdom from the Quiet Plague. But should she trust her growing feelings for her nemesis, or should she hide her gifts at all costs?
